Why Bytwise exists

I love food, and I love trying new places. But finding honest reviews for a restaurant or cafe in one place was genuinely hard. Reviews were scattered across Google, Instagram, Facebook groups and word of mouth, and half of them read like ads. And when I wanted to try somewhere new, I didn't want to spend an evening searching the internet to find it.

So I decided to solve my own problem first. Bytwise started in Peshawar, where I live, and I built it from the ground up to be the place I wished existed: one app where real people share what a spot is actually like.

What you can do on Bytwise

• Find spots by what they're good forEvery restaurant and cafe is tagged by the people who've been there: quiet, family friendly, laptop friendly, outdoor seating and more, not just a star rating.
• Add your own hidden gemsKnow a great place nobody talks about? Add it. Every new spot is reviewed by our team before it goes live, so the directory stays accurate.
• Share honest reviews and photosReviews, ratings and real pictures from people who actually visited, so the next person knows what to expect.
• Earn Bytscore and level upVisiting spots, writing reviews and adding places earn Bytscore points. Your level grows as you explore, and your Bytscore unlocks discount coupons at partner restaurants.
• Answer the Question of the DayA quick daily poll about food and dining. Your answers help us understand what people want, and we use them to shape where Bytwise goes next.

How we keep it honest

Bytwise is built around the community, so trust matters more than anything. Spots added by users are checked by an admin before they appear. Stamps for visiting a spot can be verified by location. Reviews come from logged in accounts, and rankings on our city guides are calculated from real ratings and tags, not paid placement. Restaurants can claim their listing to keep details up to date, but claiming doesn't let anyone change or hide reviews.

Where we are

We started in Peshawar and now list spots in Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore, with more cities coming as the community grows. Browse the city guides or explore every spot.

Who's behind it

Bytwise is a project of AutomateXpo, a software company founded by Syed Muhammad Zaki. AutomateXpo also built Linklyst Space. Zaki leads Bytwise, shaping its product direction and feature decisions while working alongside the team to build and improve it. He also personally reads every piece of feedback that comes in.
